Don't get me wrong, I'm not that ardent workaholic who wishes everyday was a monday, Good God no. Anything that grants me a reprieve from work is very welcome. Holidays, elections and worker strikes. Only reason this article doesn't read I hate WEEKDAYS is because weekdays don't serve as constant reminders that despite my university degree, masters degree, good paying job or great apartment, my mom still deems me unaccomplished. Ok, to be more precise before I am labeled evil seeing as Sundays/Churchdays sort of also fall on weekends, I HATE SATURDAYS!! Or as I and Bisi (my up until recent bestie) named it WEDDING DAYS.
